WAEC Result Checker Portal Down After 2025 Result Release

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has temporarily shut down its official WAEC result-checking portal just hours after announcing the release of the 2025 WASSCE results. This has caused widespread frustration among candidates trying to check WAEC result online.

In an official update posted on the WAEC official page on X (formerly Twitter), the exam body stated:

“WAEC hereby informs the general public that the result checker portal, waecdirect.org, is temporarily shut down due to technical issues. However, the Council is working assiduously to ensure that candidates are able to access their results in the next 24 hours. Please bear with us.”

Why Can’t I Check My WAEC Result Online?

WAEC candidates will not be able to check their results online at the moment because the WAEC portal using the WAEC result checker is presently down.

The current outage is temporary, and WAEC has promised a quick resolution. This is specially advisable as trying to check the WAEC result without success may result in candidates exhausting the five attempts allowance on the free result checker.
