How To Register for TVET Programme: Step-by-Step

Follow the steps below to successfully register for TVET through the official portal:

1. Visit the Official TVET Website

Go to https://www.tvet.education.gov.ng using your mobile phone or computer.

2. Provide NIN and Date of Birth

Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and your date of birth. Click Proceed to continue.

3. Enter Your Contact Information

Type in your phone number and email address. This is where your verification code will be sent.

4. Enter the OTP

Check your phone for a One-Time Password (OTP). Input the OTP on the portal to verify your identity.

5. Create a Strong Password

You’ll be prompted to create a password. Make sure it includes a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters. Click Proceed.

6. Login to Your TVET Account

Click the hamburger menu (≡) and select Login. Enter your phone number and the password you just created.

7. Fill in Your Personal Details

Complete the form by entering:

  • First Name and Surname
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Residential Address
  • State (select from drop-down menu)
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number

  • Choose your preferred Skill Type (STC or VEI). Check here for more details about which skill type benefits you.
  • Select your desired skill for training
  • Complete a short survey about your current knowledge
  • Rate your proficiency level
  • Write a short response on why you need the TVET training

10. Final Review and Submission

Carefully review all the information you’ve entered. Once confirmed, click Submit to complete your TVET registration.
